Hailing from Madhya Pradesh, Kranti Gaud has quickly emerged as one of the most exciting young pace-bowling talents in Indian cricket. Armed with sharp bounce, natural swing, and the ability to hit the deck hard, the right-arm medium-fast bowler first made headlines during the 2024-25 domestic season. She spearheaded her state team's bowling attack to a title victory in the Senior Women's One Day Trophy, highlighted by a match-winning 4/25 in the final. This standout performance earned her a Women's Premier League (WPL) contract with the UP Warriorz, where she made an immediate impact in her debut season by claiming Meg Lanning as her maiden wicket and registering a brilliant four-wicket haul to become the second-youngest player to achieve the feat in the tournament's history.Gaud’s seamless transition to the international stage began with her ODI debut during the Sri Lanka Tri-Nation Series in May 2025. She truly announced her arrival weeks later during the tour of England, where she delivered a sensational, match-winning spell of 6/52 at Chester-le-Street. At just 21, she shattered records to become the youngest Indian woman to secure a five-wicket haul in ODIs. Her meteoric rise culminated in a stellar 2025 ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup campaign. Operating as a vital cog in India’s triumphant, championship-winning pace attack, she claimed nine wickets in the tournament, including a fiery Player of the Match performance (3/20) against Pakistan.
