Pratika Rawal quickly established herself as one of the most dependable top-order batters. She progressed steadily through the domestic ranks, making her senior debut for Delhi in 2021. A breakout domestic innings featured an unbeaten 161 against Assam, and her leadership qualities shone when she captained the Delhi Under-23 T20 side to the tournament final in 2024. A subsequent shift to Railways coincided with her elevation to the national setup.
On December 22, 2024, she became the 150th woman to represent India in One Day Internationals, debuting against the West Indies. Her true arrival on the international stage happened against Ireland in early 2025. She smashed a breathtaking 154 off 129 balls, sharing a record-breaking 233-run opening partnership with Smriti Mandhana that helped India post a massive total.
Her rapid rise included shattered records: she became the fastest Indian woman to reach 500 ODI runs (in just 8 innings) and the fastest to 1,000 ODI runs (in 23 innings). She also amassed the highest aggregate runs by any female player in her first six ODIs.
At the 2025 ICC Women's ODI World Cup, she proved instrumental to India's successful campaign. She accumulated 308 runs in the tournament, highlighted by a composed 122 against New Zealand that secured India's semi-final berth. Although an injury sidelined her for the historic knockout stages, her consistent performances laid the foundation for the team's ultimate championship victory.
